Ava signed an AI documentation consent at intake in March. Weft checks it again at 1:58pm, two minutes before the session opens — because consent that was true in March is not consent today. If it is missing, expired or withdrawn, the scribe stays off and you write the note yourself. Nothing degrades except the convenience.
Consent travels with the session
Stored per client, re-checked per session — not signed once at intake and assumed forever. In all-party-consent states Weft queues the verbal attestation into the opening minute and timestamps it in the chart. Say "stop recording" and capture ends mid-sentence: the partial transcript is dropped, not quietly held for review.
The scribe writes against the plan
Ambient capture drafts in your structure — SOAP, DAP or BIRP — and cites the active treatment plan goal each observation advances. It also names what today did not touch, so a goal going stale is something you notice in week three rather than something an auditor finds in year two.
Eligibility runs before the session, not after the denial
Benefits re-check 48 hours ahead of every appointment: plan status, copay, deductible remaining, visit limits, prior auth. When Cigna moves a copay from $25 to $45, it reaches you on Monday with a client message already drafted — not as a balance you write off in March.
Automation you can read the reasoning of
Failed cards retry on a cadence tuned to payday. Denials with a fixable reason are corrected and resubmitted. Every automated action writes the rule that fired, the data it read and a one-tap undo into the audit log. Nothing touches money or the chart without a line you can hand an auditor.
It does not diagnose. It drafts. You decide, edit and sign — and the signature is yours alone.
It does not record without consent on file for that specific session. There is no override, including for you.
It does not invent a code. A CPT suggestion appears only with the sentence that supports it, or it does not appear.
It does not train on your clients. Your sessions improve your chart. They do not improve our model.
Payers don't audit your notes. They audit the thread.
The golden thread is the traceable line from intake, to diagnosis, to a treatment plan goal, to today's note, to the code you billed. When a link is missing, the claim is exposed to clawback — often years later, in bulk.
The note knows the plan
Every draft is written against the active treatment plan goals, and Weft tells you which goal today's session did and didn't touch. A goal with no session evidence in 60 days is flagged before an auditor finds it.
The code has to be earned
Weft proposes a CPT code only when the documentation supports it, and shows the sentence that justifies it. Bill 90847 with no mention of who else was in the room and you hear about it at signature, not at appeal.
Signed means signed
A signed note opens read-only with an addendum path — never silently editable, always timestamped, always attributable. The audit log is the product, not a setting you remember to turn on.
Measurement without busywork
PHQ-9, GAD-7, PCL-5 and the ORS/SRS pair go out on your cadence, land in the chart already scored, and surface in the note draft as a sentence you can keep or cut.
